Last week has been a successful week in writing.
I am a quarter of the way through the 1st editing stage of my novel and things are shaping into the way I envisioned them two years ago.
Whilst editing, I had a moment of clarity about blogging. Each week I tried to encourage writers to participate in #shortstories competitions and when I started my blog, my core value was to entice bloggers onto my page by sharing my writing journey, writing thoughts and relative questions for writing; visiting my blog for the interest of Douglas W. T. Smith.
This is for my writing, which one day will hopefully turn myself from a writer into an author. Plants all start off small, with enough water, sunlight and fresh air they can grow as high as they can possible stretch their trunks and branches. That is my plan, to grow until my heart is content and not my wallet full.
This is a quote from my first blog post – Follow Your Bliss
Throughout the last few weeks my vision for my blog has drifted. Let’s stay motivated for this week, and reach those goals we placed at the end the end of the day, week, month or year.
What helped you stay motivated last week?
The main thing that kept me motivated last week was physically seeing my progress. I printed the first 50 pages of my edited draft. It sent shivers down my spine and made my palms moist with excitement. To one day share my story to other people motivated me to finish it as soon as possible.
